LEAN construction practices are ways of minimizing waste of material, time, and effort in order to generate the maximum amount of value. LEAN requires a collaboration of all project participants at early stages and continuing throughout the project. Each trade is exposed to the other allowing all involved to see the impact they have on one another. It is to inform and influence, not just to react. We apply the LEAN theories by providing detailed drawings of projects, project specific fabrication in our shop to avoid on-site waste, and setting a schedule then sticking to it.
